Mrs She is now on holidays!

I've arrived in Hong Kong safely! It is a very populated place
with 7 million people living here. Almost everybody live in high
rise building. I am on the 12th floor apartment which has lovely
sea views. The above photo is taken from the window of the
apartment.

Athletics Day ! What Fun !

Do you enjoy athletics ? Room 5 at Pt England School definitely their Athletic Day !

Apii's Hippo

Some of Room 5's children have been working with Mrs. Jarman as part of the initiative called Manaiakalani in order to raise student achievement outcome in speaking and writing. Mrs. Jarman made this movie to show what they have been doing lately. Mrs. Jarman also entered this movie for the FILM FESTIVAL 08.

Room 5 were sorting out the Rubbish for Recycling !

Do you sort your rubbish out before you take them to the bins ? Room 5 have been learning to sort them into different categories so that they can be placed in the correct bins. Some can be recycled and some can not. We do this at the end of each day. We want to make a difference ! By doing this, we hope to keep our Planet Earth Clean and Green. Do you know what to do to make a difference in helping to keep our Planet Earth clean and green ? Room 5 have been learning how to recycle the rubbish as the first step in keeping our environment safe and clean an d green. We are learning about recycling, reusing and reducing the rubbish. This picture shows what we plan to do in the following weeks.

'Go For Green' Immersion Assembly.

Our Topic for Term 4 is 'Go For Green'. On the first day of school, the teachers in our school were dressed up in costumes that reflect thier support for a CLEAN AND GREEN environment. We had a fashion parade for these teachers at our assembly. Most of the teachers were wearing clothes that were made from recycled materials.
The children in Room 5 drew pictures of their favourite dressed up teachers. This clip was made using these kid pix pictures.

Our Voice Thread on the Beijnig OLympics has disapperaed. It had been deleted accidentally.

Room 5 have got more Champion Pictures !

Room 5 love the Olympics so much that they continue to create more pictures for you to enjoy. Weight lifting , Rowing and 100m sprint are their favourtie ones. This video clip is made using the pictures drawn using 'Kid Pix' programme.

Room 5's Paper Spinner movie

In Term 2, Room 5 were learning about things that can fly. We were trying to find out how and why things fly. For this we looked at man made things like helicopters, planes, hot air balloons as well as living creatures like butterflies and bees. For experiment, we made paper spinners to show the importance of gravity in the journey of flight. This movie shows how we made the paper spinners and how we had fun with them. The children's pictures are also included in it. We hope you like our movie.

Hi ! This is Mrs. She and I am the teacher of Room 5 in Pt. England School. Room 5 is a class of Year one children. A lot of Room 5's work are posted on Flickr, Animotos,as well as Teachers' Tube and we like to share what we have been learning and creating.
The following video has been made using the pictures that the children in Room 5 have created. They drew pictures of the Olympics in Beijing. They drew these pictures using the Kid Pix programme using the classroom computers.
