Meliana's fitness story from Jenny She on Vimeo.
As part of the Literacy learning process, Mrs She's children over many years wrote stories and then drew pictures to illustrate their stories. This story writing was integrated with childrens' Inquiries. Children also recorded their stories in movies so that they could share them with the world. We are proud of this work.

Hi Meliana,
My name is Mary Alice, and I too am a student at the University of South Alabama visiting your blog today. I also teach first grade students in the United States. One thing that I work with my students on is including similes in their writing. When I listened to your fitness story I was smiling at all the good similes! I jump like a frog was a particularly cute one! And, jumping over and over again is hard but good exercise too! Do you try to include similes int your writing too? If so, I bet you're great at it! :)
Hi Meliana,
I'm a student in EDM 510 at the University of South Alabama. I really like fitness too. When I was in second grade I liked to jump-rope! Exercising is a great way to keep your body healthy. I think you did a wonderful job on your picture and your video.
Hi Meliana,
I am also a student and I go to the University of South Alabama. You did such a good job on your picture as well as your video! Your picture was very colorful and pretty. I liked how you described how you "jump like a frog" in your video. Great job and keep up the good work!
