Hi Danielle,

My name is Mary Alice and I am a student at the University of South Alabama College visiting your blog today. I'm also a first grade teacher. I teach children who are 6-7 years old. How old are you and your classmates? We are working on using adjectives, or describing words, to enhance our writing. I think you would be really good at this because when you described Harold you used some great adjectives, like handsome, yellow, long, spotty, etc. Keep up the good work!

Danielle, I am a student at the University of South Alabama, in Mobile, Alabama, and your blog was one chosen for me to comment on. The first thing I noticed was how great you drew the giraffe in its surroundings! Harold seems to be gleefully dancing under the midday sun as he gets ready to go have a snack. You wrote the sentence of Harold, the Giraffe, very intelligently. You transferred the sentence in story form in a way that makes me interested in what Harold’s next great adventure will be. That makes you a great storyteller, so keep up the great drawing and putting it into sentences to tell a story. I am very uncomfortable in front of the camera, but you looked very comfortable in front of it, so when you go to college one day, you will be great at making the videos for your classes. Keep up the great classwork and learning about simple sentences, and maybe one day I can read one of your stories as a New York Times Best Seller 

Hello, Danielle! I, too, am visiting to you from Alabama in the United States. Thank you for allowing us to post our comments about your awesome story of Harold, the Giraffe! I LOVE your accent!! Since I saw your video, I've been trying to make my Southern Alabama accent sound like one from New Zealand! I think it's awesome you're blogging at such a young age and sharing what you're learning in the classroom with people all around the world. I am a librarian in an elementary school, and have thoroughly enjoyed listening to your story. Keep up the great work, Danielle!!
